Report a dose or content concern

Patient safety comes first. If a dose, size or score looks wrong, email us with:

Each calculator lists its references under References, so you can check where a number comes from.

Questions

Does the app need the internet?

No. Everything is worked out on the device. Only the reference links open web pages, in Safari.

Where are the patient's values kept?

Only on your device. The weight, age and height clear by themselves 12 hours after the last edit, and you can change them at any time from the patient badge on Home. Nothing is sent anywhere. See the privacy policy.

The Code Blue alerts don't sound

Allow notifications for PICULab Calc in iPhone Settings › Notifications, and check that the ringer is on. In the app, every alert also shows on the monitor and vibrates. The app asks for notifications when you start your first code.

Does the code keep running if I leave the app?

Yes. The clock keeps counting while you switch to Home or to another app, and after the app is closed and opened again. The 2-minute and adrenaline alerts arrive as notifications while you are away.

We found the weight only after the code started

Tap Doses for… at the top of the Code Blue page and enter it. The doses on every tile update at once, and the timeline notes when the weight was set.

How do I get a code's report?

Tap End code and choose how it ended. The report opens; Copy puts it on the clipboard for the notes. Earlier reports are kept on the Code Blue page until you delete them.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad with iOS 18 or later.

Important

PICULab Calc supports clinical judgement and never replaces it. It is intended for trained healthcare professionals. Check every dose against your local protocols and the product information before you give it. In an emergency, follow your hospital's procedures.
